Naming-words.....What is your name?

Pond

The pictures above show some furniture, a boy, a cat and a pond.
They are names of things, people, animals and places.
Such words are called nouns.
Nouns are also known as naming-words. They are actually the names of things, people, animals and places.


Ok....lets do an exercise......
What are the nouns in the following sentences?
e.g. The clumsy girl fell down the stairs
answer : girl and stairs
1. Is there any water in the bucket?
2. Monkeys like bananas very much.
3. Didi has three hamsters and a cat.
4. That old man found some money on the road.
5. I used to live in a big house in Jerudong.
6. Amir went to the cinema with his mother.
7. The women are cooking in the kitchen.
8. Suhairi received a gift from his aunt.
9. Camels are very useful animals.
10. He sells only coffee in his restaurant.
